Type: Pilot Operated Throttling
Purpose: To prevent outlet pressure from exceeding a preset maximum level
Basic Application: Control systems where the inlet supply pressure is higher than the discharge pressure.
If the supply pressure is higher than user capacity, Ross Valve will throttle to pass only enough water to the user to maintain a preset low pressure

Type: Pilot Operated Throttling
Purpose: To prevent outlet pressure from exceeding a preset maximum level.
Basic Application (1): Utilize water reserves in adjacent systems under emergency conditions.
Basic Application: Control systems where the inlet supply pressure is higher than the discharge pressure.
If the supply pressure is higher than user capacity, Ross Valve will throttle to pass only enough water to the user to maintain a preset low pressure

Direct Acting Throttling
Purpose: To prevent outlet pressure from exceeding a preset maximum level.
Basic Application (1): Feed small lines with low flows
Basic Application (2): Bypass units on larger valves to handle low flows.
If supply pressure is higher than user capacity (user's demand may include quick increases and decreases Ross Valve will pass only the quantity of water to the user with a minimum of shock waves, to maintain a preset lower pressure (adjustable).

Electrically Controlled Throttling
Purpose: To control system level, flow or downstream/upstream pressure
Application: Storage Flow Maintenance: Control flow in to a reservoir, tank, or basin in direct proportion to a draw down. Control flow in a line when monitored and positioned from a remote point.
Application: Downstream and Upstream Pressure Maintenance.
Application: Storage Level Maintenance: Control levels in tanks, basins, reservoirs, deep wells etc...

Direct Acting Altitude Valve

40DAWR Level

Size: 4" to 48"
Purpose: To prevent exceeding a maximum preset storage pressure/ Let water flow through the same line from storage to user
Basic Application: The minimum water level is preset at the factory to be a constant distance below the maximum level no matter what maximum is set. The maximum is adjustable. The norm for the difference between high and low level is between 9" and 4'.
