The PRESO ELLIPSE
flow meter is designed with a series of ports
facing the upstream velocity pressures and flow
sensing ports strategically located ahead of the
trailing-edge disturbances: As a result of its
innovative design the ELLIPSE is capable of
greater accuracy than a conventional sensor in
measuring the actual DP signal. With the
ELLIPSE, your measurement is absolutely precise
and proportional to the actual flow rate.

B-Plus Balancing Valve features Preso's
"Low-Loss" Venturi design, unsurpassed
in the industry for low permanent
pressure loss and low energy
consumption. The B-Plus is accurate to
±2% and installs in any position with
minimum upstream and downstream piping
requirements. The B-Plus is available in
15 sizes from 1/2" (12.7mm) to 10"
(254mm) with sweat, FNPT, flanged and

FIRE PUMP SYSTEM
|
The Preso
Fire Pump Flow Meter System is an
FM-approved simple, precise and
economical method of testing fire pump
performance. The Preso system may be
used instead of the typical hose valve
header and hose method. Flow monitoring
is easily achieved by allowing the
operator to read the water flow directly
in GPM or l/s. Two types of meters are
available: fixed for pipe or wall
mounting; and a self-contained portable
unit which includes hoses, carrying case
and bleed valves.
The single
most important advantage for the system
design engineer is the choice of primary
elements offered by PRESO:

The Preso Venturi with its well
known engineering principle, little
or no maintenance and low permanent
pressure loss; with minimum
requirements for upstream (5 dia.)
and downstream (2 dia.) straight
pipe length.

The Preso Annular Element (Pitot
tube) - also maintenance-free and
with low permanent pressure loss,
installed economically by insertion
into the pipe at right angle to the
flow. The system comes complete with
weld-coupling, packing gland and
