Model 1100
Series Turbine Flow Meter |
| |

The
Blancett Model 1100 Turbine Flow
Meter is designed to meet the
demands of the most rigorous
flow measurement applications.
Originally developed for the
secondary oil recovery market,
the Model 1100 is an ideal meter
for liquid flow measurement on
or off the oilfield. The meter
features a 316 stainless steel
housing and rotor support,
CD4MCU stainless steel rotor,
and abrasion-resistant tungsten
carbide rotor shaft and journal
bearings. These materials help
the meter to maintain accuracy
and mechanical integrity when
measuring the corrosive and
abrasive fluids found in many
industries.

Fluid entering the meter first
passes through an inlet flow
straightener that reduces its
turbulent flow pattern. Fluid
then passes through the turbine,
causing the turbine to rotate at
a speed proportional to fluid
velocity. As each turbine blade
passes through the magnetic
field generated by the meter's
magnetic pick-up, an AC voltage
pulse is generated. These
pulses provide an output
frequency that is proportional
to volumetric flow.

QuikSert In-Line Turbine
Flow Meter |

The
Blancett QuikSert In-line
Turbine Flow Meter provides the
high accuracy and rigorous
design of the standard Blancett
turbine, but in a wafer-style
mounting configuration. With a
unique "between-the-flange"
design, the need for mating
flanges is eliminated, saving
installation time and cost, and
allowing for limited space
requirements. The meter
features a 316 stainless steel
housing and rotor support,
CD4MCU stainless steel rotor,
and abrasion-resistant tungsten
carbide rotor shaft and journal
bearings. Precision upstream
and downstream flow
straighteners ensure a high
degree of measurement accuracy.

Model 1200 |

The
Blancett Model 1200 In-Line
Turbine Flow Meter was
engineered for applications in
high corrosive environments.
Developed for use in
petrochemical and other process
industries with liquid chemical
flows, the Model 1200 Turbine
provides accuracy and durability
in aggressive industrial
environments. The meter features
a 303 stainless steel body and
internal wetted parts, with two
Type 440 stainless steel ball
bearings.

Fluid entering the meter passes
through an inlet flow
straightener and a
hydrodynamically shaped
deflector cone to reduce its
turbulent flow pattern. Fluid
then passes through the turbine,
causing the turbine to rotate at
a speed proportional to fluid
velocity. The rotating turbine
blades modulate a high frequency
carrier wave in the
externally-mounted RF pick-up.

SERIES 200 & 900 |

The
Blancett Series 200 and Series
900 are rugged, low-priced flow
meters specifically designed to
measure floodwater line flow in
secondary oil recovery
operations throughout the world.
Using time-proven rotary vane
and multi-jet impeller
mechanisms, the Series 200 and
900 flow meters will provide
reliable long-term measurement
and totalization with minimum
attention and maintenance.
Series 200 & 900 Flow Meter
Technical Data Sheet (2.80 MB).

The Series 900 features
interchangeable inlet inserts
with three different sized
orifices. The orifices are
pre-calibrated for specific low,
medium and high flow ranges of
the meter. Fluid enters the
inlet port and passes through
the pre-selected orifice into
the cylindrical measuring
chamber. Here, the flowing fluid
is separated into two streams,
rotating a vaned impeller at a
speed directly proportional to
flow rate. The impeller is
connected to a meter register
through a magnetic drive
assembly. Each impeller rotation
is mechanically tabulated and
displayed by the register atop
the meter.

The Series 200 features a radial
vaned impeller, mounted on a
vertical spindle within a
cylindrical measuring chamber.
Fluid entering the meter passes
through the lower compartment of
the central housing, and then
enters the measuring chamber
through several tangential
orifices located around the
cylinder. The flowing water
causes the impeller blades to
rotate at a speed directly
proportional to flow rate. The
rotating impeller is
magnetically coupled to a
mechanical register, and each
impeller rotation is
mechanically tabulated and
displayed.
